In 2019, the team of PULSE Foundation, Pernik, started its work on a new two-year international project: SUPPORTS - "Supporting children in the delicate phase between adolescence and adulthood while leaving alternative care facilities", funded by the European Commission.

The project is coordinated by the PULSE Foundation and includes a partnership of 3 EU countries - Bulgaria, Portugal and Italy, which unite in the direction of creating comprehensive care for children leaving residential institutions.

Within the program "Support to initiatives of civil society organizations for protection and support of victims of human trafficking in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic" of the Council of Europe, PULSE Foundation will implement a series of initiatives for prevention of human trafficking and providing access to services to support victims or at risk of trafficking, etc. The initiative started in early November 2020 and has a duration of 7 months.

PULSE Foundation has launched a series of initiatives to evaluate existing policies and institutional practices in the field of domestic violence and gender-based violence, with the ultimate goal of their more effective upgrade, optimization, as well as to create tools for regular future use. To date, there is no such monitoring review in Bulgaria, and there are no sufficiently reliable and valid instruments measuring both applied - policies and institutional practices.

Domestic violence manifests itself in all levels of society and in all societies around the world. Accurate statistics on victims of domestic violence in Bulgaria are lacking. NOEMA statistics from 2001 show that every fourth Bulgarian woman is a victim of domestic violence. Data from seven district courts in the period 2012-2014 show that 91% of murders of women were committed by men, 7% - with the complicity of men and women, and only 2% - only by women. In 35% of cases, murders and attempted murders of women were committed by the victim's current or former intimate partner, in 31% by another known man, and in only 9% of murders by a stranger. Two-thirds of the killings took place at the victim's home. In 2018 alone, 33 women / according to the Ministry of Interior / were killed by their intimate partners. For the first three months of 2019, 10 women were killed.
