In recent months, PULSE Foundation has continued to implement an awareness and support initiative under the slogan "Together we can do more!", aimed at young people and their parents in the Pernik district. Part of the Rights and Values project, with the financial support of the European Union and the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation, the campaign managed to reach over 300 students and over 100 parents in an open dialogue on important topics related to violence, discrimination and social inclusion.

With the active participation of the volunteers from the youth club "То Be Friends", the team of the foundation held 19 interactive meetings with students from different schools in the region. The sessions, held between November 2024 and February 2025, were distinguished by the active participation of the students, who not only listened, but also contributed their own ideas and experiences. Real challenges such as various forms of violence, the spread of disinformation and the role of personal values in building a healthy community environment were discussed.

Especially impressive was the commitment of the students - many of them expressed a desire to get involved in future activities. Some meetings turned into emotional and in-depth conversations, which showed how deeply they were affected by the topics at hand.

Working with parents was also a key element of the initiative. Despite the challenges to reach them, the team managed to reach over 100 people through talks in different neighborhoods, local community centers and school meetings. Parents had the opportunity to share their fears and hopes, exchange experiences and discuss how to better support their children in the challenging reality in which they grow up.

The feedback we've received shows us how important this work is – and how much more needs to be done. The PULSE Foundation team will continue to organize meetings, training sessions and conversations that will strengthen trust between students, parents and teachers, as a step towards creating a safer, more open and solidarity environment.
